JON PENNER HAS BEEN COOKING HIS WHOLE LIFE
He first learned his cooking skills from the best, his Italian
born mother who immigrated to the US at a very early age.
Former Owner-Head Chef of Margerite's Restaurant,
on the grounds of the Cape Playhouse, he has cooked for thousands
including the hundreds of stars who have tread the boards of the
famous Cape Theater on Route 6A in Dennis.
The members of Aerosmith, MASH's Loretta Switt, John Savage, Tom
Jones, Elvis Costello and others are among the numerous luminaries
who have enjoyed his cuisine. Actors, politicians, musicians, sports
figures, designers, financial moguls, the list goes on and on. Before
coming to the Heritage House Hotel he was the Head Chef at the prestigious
Blue Rock Best Western Golf Resort for twelve years.
Chauncy’s Bar & Grille offers familiar food, exceptionally
prepared. Our Talented Chef selects only the finest local
seafood and a sumptuous variety of the highest quality meats and
choicest vegetables to create delicious, mouth watering entrees.
His years in catering have taught him to adapt and improvise. Chef
Penner's mission is to build on the already excellent reputation
Chauncy's is known for among locals and tourists alike. His dedication
to that goal is already evident from our diner's reaction.
He prides himself on his ability to satisfy the most demanding
of pallets. How does he do that one wonders? He listens carefully
and executes diligently any and all culinary challenges presented
